Walton De-Ice DS-4 Rain/Snow Sensor and Automatic De-Ice Controller

The Walton De-Ice DS-4 is the automatic local control unit that switches a de-icing system on only when it is needed. A thermistor measures temperature and a moisture sensor detects precipitation, and the DS-4 microcontroller turns the heaters on when it is wet and below the adjustable trigger temperature, which keeps de-icing operating costs down. It runs on 110-120 VAC or 200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, selected with a field strap, and has dual individually controlled 30 A relays at 240 VAC, an adjustable delay-off cycle, a selectable low-temperature cutoff and a replaceable precipitation sensor. The DS-4 controls Walton Snow Shield heaters and is supplied with Walton plenum systems; add a DP-7EX, DP-7SS or DP-7IQ rack panel for remote monitoring and control up to 1,200 ft away.
