The Sencore AFN is a modular platform for contribution encoding, decoding and stream processing, built for satellite newsgathering and remote production. It comes in two frames: the 1RU AFN-1000, with a system host, dual power supplies, a front panel and room for seven further modules, and the portable quarter-rack AFN-250, which takes a host module plus one more. Encoder and decoder modules handle HEVC and H.264 up to 4K/60p at 4:2:2 10-bit, with SDI up to 12G and ASI, IP and SRT transport.
