MediaKind Beam for headends modernizes broadcast and streaming headends with software that runs on standard off-the-shelf servers under MediaKind's MK.IO cloud orchestration for centralized control, monitoring and software lifecycle management. It encodes HEVC, H.264 and MPEG-2 from IP, SDI, SMPTE 2022-6 or 2110 sources at 100 kbps to 60 Mbps with CBR, VBR or CVQ rate control and HDR10, HLG10, PQ10 and Dolby Vision support, then remultiplexes with full SI/PSI generation, HbbTV and DVB-CSA, BISS-CA, AES or Director encryption for broadcast, or packages HLS (CMAF or TS), DASH and RTMP with low-latency chunking, CPIX-based FairPlay, Widevine, PlayReady and ClearKey DRM and Akamai MSL 4-certified CDN delivery. Loudness control, SCTE-35 passthrough, Nielsen watermark extraction and caption translation are built in, with pay-as-you-go, perpetual or multi-year enterprise licensing.
