Foxcom is offering an exclusive NTN Optical Repeater solution, which enables users to stay connected to the world at all times even if all primary communication networks are down. The NTN compatible Smartphone does not require sky view to operate, so users can remain inside in control rooms or bunkers during an emergency. Foxcom NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) Optical Repeater is an RF over Fiber repeater solution for maintaining mobile satellite connectivity inside indoor locations, such as control rooms, operations rooms, and military bunkers. It enables NTN-compatible smartphones to operate without direct sky view, helping users stay connected during emergencies when primary communication networks are unavailable. The system uses a fiber connection between the outdoor and indoor units, making it easier to place outdoor antennas where signal reception is strongest. A standard setup includes two indoor antennas for transmit and receive, with an optional dual-zone configuration available for larger hangars or separate support areas. The NTN Optical Repeater supports N255 and N256 uplink and downlink frequency ranges, with RF input signal handling up to -20dBm on both paths and noise figure below 5dB. For optical transmission, the solution uses single-mode fibre, CWDM wavelength, FC-APC optical connectors, -3dBm / 0.5mW minimum optical power output, and supports fibre runs up to 3km with a 2dB optical budget. The kit includes Foxcom Sat-Light G4000 Series outdoor unit (ODU), a compact DC-powered indoor unit (IDU), dual NTN antennas and RF coax cables, with pre-connectorized fiber cables available as an option.
