Product details
Foxcom GL75E-SFP Ethernet Link is a Sat-Light Gold Series Ethernet module that adds 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet capability to Sat-Light and Gold system environments. Using SFP-based electrical-to-optical conversion, the module extends 100Base or 1000Base Ethernet data over fiber distances up to 200 km, depending on the selected SFP module. The GL75E-SFP Ethernet Link provides Ethernet data transport for Sat-Light and Gold system installations where network connectivity needs to extend over fiber. It converts copper Ethernet traffic through an SFP-based optical interface, giving system integrators flexibility to match fiber type, wavelength, and transmission distance to the selected SFP module. The module is designed for plug-and-play deployment in RF over Fiber and communication infrastructure environments. RJ-45 connectivity supports the twisted-pair side, while auto-negotiation, MDI/MDI-X auto crossover, full-duplex and half-duplex support, and front/rear status LEDs make installation, link verification, and maintenance more straightforward across rack-based systems, monitoring links, and control networks.

Frequently asked questions
When is the GL75E-SFP module used?
The GL75E-SFP is suitable when Sat-Light or Gold system environments require Ethernet data transport over fiber, especially where distance, fiber routing, or system architecture makes copper-only Ethernet less practical.
How far does the GL75E-SFP transmit Ethernet data over fiber?
The module transmits 100Base or 1000Base data over fiber distances up to 200 km, depending on the selected SFP module.
What should be checked before selecting the SFP module?
The selected SFP should match the required fiber type, optical wavelength, transmission distance, and copper or fiber interface. The maximum Ethernet distance depends on the SFP used.
How does the module simplify installation in mixed network environments?
The GL75E-SFP supports auto-negotiation and MDI/MDI-X auto crossover, so it automatically handles duplex mode and crossover or straight-through cable selection during setup.
Is the GL75E-SFP suitable for control and monitoring networks?
Yes. The module is suitable for Ethernet links used in rack-based systems, control networks, monitoring connections, and RF over Fiber environments that require stable network transport over fiber.
Does Digisat supply and support Foxcom equipment?
