Product details

The CPI TR511 is a 1000W peak, 500W linear GaN RF transceiver for troposcatter links in the 4.4–5.0 GHz band. It converts a 950–1550 MHz L-band IF to the transmit band and back, with electronically tuned transmit and receive waveguide filters that need no manual adjustment.

The system ships in two transit cases (amplifier, and RF I/O with filters, downconverter and LNA) and includes an auxiliary receive input for diversity installations. It runs on 180–240 VAC (2.7 kVA typical) and is controlled over Ethernet.

Key features

  • 1000W peak (60 dBm), 500W linear (57 dBm) GaN SSPA
  • 4.4–5.0 GHz transmit and receive; 950–1550 MHz L-band IF
  • Electronically tuned Tx and Rx waveguide filters; no manual adjustment
  • Integrated block upconverter and downconverter; LNA with 1.65 dB max. noise figure
  • Auxiliary receive input for diversity installations
  • Remote M&C over Ethernet; automatic overdrive protection
  • Temperature-compensated gain; quick-disconnect CPR-187G waveguide
  • Two transit cases; -40 °C to +60 °C operating

Frequently asked questions

What's in the TR511 system?

Two transit cases. The amplifier case (174 lb) houses the 1000W peak GaN SSPA and optional block upconverter. The RF I/O case (146 lb) houses the tunable Tx and Rx waveguide filters, block downconverter and LNA.

What power does it need?

180–240 VAC, 47–63 Hz, about 2.7 kVA typical at linear output for the 1000W system.

Need it installed, aligned or supported?

Digisat engineers install, commission and maintain satellite ground systems for government agencies, teleports and broadcasters worldwide. Request installation or engineering support.
