Comtech has discontinued the Maritime Communications Roaming Oceanic Satellite Server (ROSS) System. It is no longer built, but Digisat still supports installed units and can recommend and supply a current replacement.
Comtech ROSS provides remote satellite modems with the ability to interface with 3-axis stabilized auto-tracking antenna systems and supports complete maintaining of connectivity as vessels move from one satellite beam to another. The ROSS system ensures that vessel GPS position information, RF Satellite signals and system management status are constantly updated and monitored in order to ascertain whether or not beam or satellite handoff are necessary.
