The Calian Itus is a 1:1 L-band redundancy switch for modulators and modems with alarm contacts, covering 950 to 2150 MHz. In automatic mode it switches in about 100 ms (250 ms maximum), and it can also switch on the quality of the incoming signals, demodulating up to 16 DVB-S/S2 carriers to watch lock, MER, frame errors and power. Dual independent power supplies give an MTBF over a million hours.
