Comtech UT-4500 series up converters translate a 70 or 140 MHz IF to C, Ku, DBS or X-band with low phase noise and high gain. Each has at least +10 dBm output at 1 dB compression and 35 dB of gain, so it can drive long cable runs, and Comtech's patented Daisy Chain switching builds redundant systems without a separate switch chassis.
Key features
- Dual conversion, no spectral inversion
- 35 dB gain; +10 dBm (Ku), +13 dBm (X), +17 dBm (C) P1dB
- Phase noise better than the Intelsat IBS/IDR mask by more than 6 dB
- 52–88 or 104–176 MHz IF (50–90 / 100–180 MHz optional)
- 125 kHz steps (1 kHz optional); 32 preset channels
- Patented Daisy Chain 1:N redundancy
- EIA-232/485 and Ethernet (Telnet, SNMP, web) control

Frequently asked questions
How do I pick a UT-4500 model?
Pick the model that covers your uplink band; the suffix letter sets the exact frequency range (for example UT-4514/D covers 13.75–14.50 GHz). Digisat will confirm the right one for your satellite.
Need it installed, aligned or supported?
Digisat engineers install, commission and maintain satellite ground systems for government agencies, teleports and broadcasters worldwide. Request installation or engineering support.
