Comtech DT-4500 series down converters translate C, Ku or X-band down to a 70 or 140 MHz IF with low phase noise and high gain. Each has at least +20 dBm output at 1 dB compression and 45 dB of gain, beats the Intelsat phase-noise mask by more than 9 dB, and uses Comtech's patented Daisy Chain switching for redundancy in 1RU.
Key features
- Dual conversion, no spectral inversion
- 45 dB gain; +20 dBm P1dB
- Phase noise better than the Intelsat IBS/IDR mask by more than 9 dB
- 52–88 or 104–176 MHz IF output (50–90 / 100–180 MHz optional)
- 125 kHz steps (1 kHz optional); 32 preset channels
- Patented Daisy Chain 1:N redundancy
- EIA-232/485 and Ethernet (Telnet, SNMP, web) control

Frequently asked questions
How do I pick a DT-4500 model?
Pick the model that covers your downlink band; the suffix letter sets the exact range (for example DT-4513/E covers 10.70–12.75 GHz).
Need it installed, aligned or supported?
Digisat engineers install, commission and maintain satellite ground systems for government agencies, teleports and broadcasters worldwide. Request installation or engineering support.
